Intern – Business development and project management

ASSACC is looking for a volunteer intern to join its team. This internship will allow you to gain practical experience in project management abroad. In partnership with our experienced and dedicated collaborators, you will work on programs aimed at access to quality education for all and improving the living conditions of marginalized social groups.

Responsibilities during the internship:
Support the project management team in its mission: Develop and ensure good management of the organization’s programs, develop partnerships with its government and non-governmental entities in Canada and internationally working or supporting similar programs.
Under the supervision of the project director:

  • Participate in the development and elaboration of projects
  • Participate in the project management process
  • Attend project meetings and monitor deliverables
  • Work closely with the project director
  • Collect and analyze data
  • Write mini research reports
  • Perform any other related tasks

Experience and education required

  • College or university diploma in project management, sustainable development, equity and social innovation, in administration
  • Have good writing skills
  • Good analytical and data processing skills
  • Master written and spoken French, be able to communicate verbally in English
  • Know the Office suite software (Excel, Word, Outlook, Powerpoint) and MS Project

Coordinator – Communication and digital projects

ASSACC is looking for volunteers to join its team. We are looking for volunteers for the position of Communications and Digital Projects Coordinator for social programs that we run internationally.

Responsibilities during the internship:
The ideal candidate will perform the following tasks:

  • Social media management
    • Manage and animate our various social networks (Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, LinkedIn)
    • Create and publish engaging and relevant content
    • Interact with our online community and respond to messages
  • Content production
    • Write blog articles, newsletters, and other written content
    • Create visuals to accompany our publications
    • Ensure the consistency and quality of the content produced
  • Project management
    • Coordinate and supervise the organization’s projects
    • Ensure communication between different teams and partners
    • Monitor the progress of projects and guarantee their success
  • Marketing strategy
    • Design and implement marketing strategies to promote our initiatives
    • Analyze campaign performance and adjust strategies accordingly
    • Collaborate with the team to develop effective marketing materials
  • Web development
    • Design and maintain our website
    • Ensure an optimal and intuitive user experience
    • Regularly update the site with the latest information and resources

Key skills sought

  • Passion for our mission and values
  • Good written and oral communication skills in French
  • Have an intermediate level of English
  • Team spirit and ability to work independently
